Providing a central hub for a global radio network to store, manage and share their resources necessary for radio production.
Adventist World Radio (AWR) uses shortwave, national radio networks, local FM stations, on demand podcasts and solar audio players to reach listeners in over 170 countries around the world. Radio producers create programmes in more than 100 languages. The programmes are contextualised and unique to each country or region to make them relevant to their target audience. This creates challenges when attempting to provide all staff with resources necessary to produce their radio programmes.
AWR towers in Guam
Over a number of years AWR created many radio programme scripts and training resources for their staff and production partners and collected a great amount of music that is played on the radio network.
With radio producers dispersed around the world and operating in different languages, management of these resources became difficult and inefficient. A better, more centralised solution was needed.
Blitz Effect developed an intuitive and efficient portal that allows storing, managing and sharing AWR’s radio production resources. The user interface can be translated into local languages and is easy to use ensuring it's equally accessible by all staff and production partners.
Quick search and metadata filtering allow for easy and efficient way to find resources on the portal while customisable user roles with varying permission levels ensure safe and secure portal use.
The portal is also cross-platform, device and browser agnostic and can be used by AWR staff and production partners from virtually anywhere.
A centralised portal provides a single place for storing, finding and accessing AWR's resources. This cuts down the frustration and inefficiencies that arise when attempting to find required tools to produce radio programmes.
This ultimately leads to quicker radio production time and higher quality programmes.
